Unboxing October’s Glossybox

October’s Glossybox was a unicorn vs mermaid collector’s edition and you didn’t know which one you’d receive until you opened it.

The October collector’s edition boxes “are all about embracing the fantasy that comes with the month ahead and bringing this to life with five full-size beauty heroes to add a little magic to your makeup routine” says Glossybox.

I was secretly hoping for a mermaid box but when I finally unboxed this week I was in the unicorn club. I wasn’t disappointed, I liked the element of surprise and I knew I was receiving five full products this month.

What products are in the unicorn October Glossybox?

Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palette

Full Size – RRP £4.00

This palette is a a multi-coloured dream with 12 vibrant colours to choose from. Perfect, if you’re wanting to be more adventurous with your makeup.

Each shade is highly pigmented and I’m sure it will blend in really easily as I have a couple of Makeup Revolution Palettes and I find them to be worth every penny.

Kawaii Enterprise Brush Cleaning Egg

Full Size – RRP 7.99

I’ve never used a brush cleaning egg but anything that saves me time on this often neglected chore is a winner in my eyes and I’ll be using it this weekend.

With it being quite small I think this one would be perfect for eyeshadow or medium sized face brushes.

I’ll continue to use some shampoo and antibacterial soap when cleaning my brushes with the egg here’s my makeup brush cleaning routine in an earlier blog.

Lord & Berry Magic Brow Pencil

Sample Size

This pencil came in the shade brunette (perfect for me) but is supposed to mimic the natural colour found in your brows. I’m looking forward to giving it a try as I have thin brows which need TLC.

Sleek Creme To Powder Blusher

Full Size – RRP £5.99

I usually use a powder blush but I’m open to trying cream blushers. The shade is lovely and I’m sure I’ll be using it for both both day and evening looks.

Beauty Bang Cream Colour

Full Size – RRP “20.00

This is a handy multi-use product designed to be used as a blusher, for highlighting cheek bones and as an eyeshadow or lipstick. To use just dab it on with your finger tips and apply the colour whereever you want it.

I think this could be a real makeupbag hero.

Do you have a monthly beautybox subscription, what do you think? Let me know in the comments.

  1. I’d seen these advertised and wondered what was in them, so thanks for sharing! I’m not very daring when it comes to different colours and I’m quite lazy with make-up, but this looks great for someone who’s into their beauty and make-up!

  2. I’m still torn on whether or not I want to do a subscription box!! While I would love having something surprise me, I don’t know that there is anything that I need more of every month. If I could find a smaller box (in the $30 CAD range) that I could receive every 3-4 months instead of every month, I would definitely do it!!

  3. I like the neutral Revolution colours (much cheaper than my beloved Urban Decay but great pigment) but I’m not sure about that deep pink…i’d look like I had conjunctivitus! Let me know if you do test it out 🙂
